About Me
Thank you for stopping by, it’s so nice to have you! I am a 30 something-year young woman who accepted a proposal for marriage from Steven Russell Ales, son of Russell Ales and Terrilyn Dempsey. We were married on October 22nd, 2005 in the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens surrounded by our family and friends. He’s my heroin – my own personal addiction (and it’s a good thing too!). Our family will soon be expanded as we are expecting our first child in December 2008! My dreams continue to come true before my very eyes and many prayers of gratitude have been offered for my incredible blessings.
I was born of goodly parents (Don and Mary) and have 5 amazing siblings (Donna, Cindy, Bekki, Robert and Scott). I have 5 nieces (Arissa, Rose Marie, Ainsley, Grace, and Addison), and three nephews (Michael, Alexander, and). I grew up living in Germany. I am also daughter to Sheri Cash who unselfishly placed me for adoption at birth. I’ve attended schools across the globe.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunities to take time and travel to Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, England, Scotland, Canada, Wales, Prague, and Poland. I would love to visit Asia, South America and New Zealand! I’ve been able to visit many states including Utah, Washington, California, Oregon, New Mexico, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas. I enjoy life and seeing the world in different mediums: museums, performing arts, international cuisine, photography, and art.
In September 2005, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who I placed for adoption. You can read about it by clicking on the “Adoption” tag.
I love music in all of its beautiful forms. Singing is a passion of mine – and was able to be part of the Junior Mormon Tabernacle Choir while attending school at Utah Valley State College. I really love the outdoors and being close to nature. I also love cooking. Part of my cooking passion has to do with my obsession with food and needing a creative outlet. I love the tastes, textures, and colors of food!
My guilty pleasures include: Swedish fish, Diet Cokes from Sonic, Dove chocolate, and Haribo gummy bears.
I have been involved with the craft and hobby industry for at least the last 20 years as a consumer, designer, instructor, advocate, demonstrator, and addict. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of some incredible companies and have been given awesome opportunities over the years. My work has been published multiple times in each of the major papercrafting magazines, and in quite a few of the not so major ones. Over the years, I’ve really enjoyed working directly with manufacturers and retailers doing design work. However, recently, I’ve decided to step back from the manufacturer side of the industry to focus on my own personal creativity and the reason I love to create – for the fun of it! I continue to do freelance design work on a ‘byline’ basis and find that it is the best for all parties involved. Please contact me if you’re interested in my work. I would be happy to discuss your opportunity and with my schedule.
I appreciate your time and comments. They mean a lot to me. Come back real soon, ya hear!
